Cookie Policy

1. Overview

This page tells you exactly which cookies Scraphe sets and why. It’s a disclosure, not a request for consent — as explained below, the only cookie we set doesn’t legally require your consent, though we still have to tell you about it.

2. The cookies we use

Scraphe sets two cookies, both strictly necessary. The first is a session cookie from our authentication provider, used only to keep you signed in between page loads. The second is written only while you are completing a password reset: a short-lived marker, readable only by our server, scoped to the reset page alone, which lets us tell a genuine reset link apart from someone simply opening that page. It expires fifteen minutes after it is set (`RECOVERY_WINDOW_SECONDS`) and is cleared as soon as the reset finishes.

Neither is used to track you, and neither carries advertising or cross-site data. Under the ePrivacy Directive, strictly-necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement that applies to other cookies — but they still have to be disclosed, which is what this page does.

3. Analytics

We don’t run a product-analytics tool at all today, so no analytics events are collected and no analytics cookie is set. We don’t use any advertising or cross-site tracking cookie either. If we add analytics later we will list it here and in our Privacy Policy before it collects anything.

4. Why there’s no consent banner

A consent banner exists to ask permission before a non-essential cookie is set. Both cookies Scraphe sets are strictly necessary, and we run no analytics tool at all, so there is nothing here that requires that permission — and we haven’t built a banner. If that ever changes — a marketing pixel, or any analytics tool that sets a cookie — this page and our approach to consent will be revisited before that change ships.

5. Managing cookies

Your browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Since our session cookie is what keeps you signed in, blocking it will prevent the Service from remembering your session — you’ll be asked to sign in again on your next visit.

6. Changes to this policy

If we ever add a cookie beyond the one described above, we’ll update this page — and, if that cookie isn’t strictly necessary, put a consent mechanism in place before it’s set, not after.
